Since the Academy was born in San Diego as El Mundo Del Tango on Monday December 27,1993 the overarching Philosophy was, is, and always will be to teach Students, Amateurs, or Professionals, DANCE - PRINCIPLES rather than steps -patterns.The Tango-Dance evolves constantly as we have witnessed in the last two decades, but the PRINCIPLES and the BASICS will always remain untouchable. Under the direction of Maestro Ive Simard, the Founder, developed the Art of Tango from the ground up in Southern California with their Headquarters in La Jolla, San Diego, which was virgin territory in those years.
