San Diego Hula Academy

About

San Diego Hula Academy (SDHA) is a traditional hālau (school) focused on hula, tahitian and ukulele. We strive to teach technique/basic steps; protocol; Hawaiian language through 'oli (chants) and mele (song); and Hawaiian history and culture through mo'o'olelo (story telling). We welcome all levels, ages and genders. We offer workshops in lei making (fresh and artificial), lei hulu (feather), ipu 'ole and 'heke, and hula for children and adults. SDHA dancers are available for special events, community and private performances.
