Since 1999, Mecca Dance Studio has provided a much needed niche in the Lexington Community for multicultural forms of dance, performance and community inclusive art. Regular classes at Mecca include Fusion style belly dance, Flamenco Fusion and specialty focus classes like Hawaiian Hula, Indian Dance, Turkish Rom and more which make it onto the schedule at various times. Mecca has played host to many internationally renowned dancers,artists, and musicians including renowned dancers: Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love, Carolena Nerricio, Dalia Carella, Jill Parker, Heather Stants, Mira Betz, Liz Strong, Devi Mamak, Elena Lentini, Amel Tafsout, Silvia Salamanca and many others.
