NVSD, also known as Nrithyaveda School of Dance, was founded in 2009. At NVSD, we are committed to educating students in the sacred art form of Bharatanatyam, the classical dance style of South India. Our belief is that by practicing this art form with self-discipline, dedication, and commitment, students will discover inner joy and a higher expression of their true selves.. Guru Smt. Gowrilakshmi is the teacher and choreographer of NVSD. As the founder and director of the NVSD, she has cultivated the love of Bharatanatyam amongst her students and audiences.Through NVSD, she attempts to bring to life her vision of unifying an artist's skill and devotion to achieve an integrated development of the individual, the community, and the world.
