City in Motion is more than a dance school, performance series, and professional dance company... we are a community! We DANCE because dance is for everyBODY :) City in Motion Dance Theater, Inc. was founded with the mission to foster the development of high-quality contemporary dance programming and expand the dance audience in the Kansas City metropolitan region. Over the past 30 years, that mission has evolved to include providing a welcoming, non-competitive home for Kansas Citians of all ages who want to learn any of a number of forms of dance, including ballet, hip hop, jazz, modern, tap, and numerous other ethnic and specialty styles.
