Anjali Center, North America's first Indian dance institute, will turn 50 in 2025. We offer year round classes in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, and Mridangam. Our Bharatanatyam classes take place at 4 locations in Houston - Sugar Land, Medical Center area, Clear Lake and the Woodlands. Our students range in ages from 4 to 50, and our senior students perform extensively not just in Houston but all over the US as well as Europe and India. They have won local, national and international awards and acclaim. Rathna Kumar, Founder & Artistic Director, is the recipient of a Congressional Recognition and one of highest honors for Excellence in Performing Arts, the Govt. of India's Sangeet Natak Academy Award, from the President of India.
