Kusum Sharma’s Shri Natraj School of Dance, founded in 2005, is a school with mission to encourage excellence in the practice of Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Bollywood and Indian Folk dance in Houston. With 6 branches and over 100 students in Houston, it is one of the prime schools teaching various forms of traditional dance forms. Kusum Sharma has received rave reviews for the exemplary original mythological and contemporary dance dramas including 'Ram leela, "Durga", ''Krishna leela,' 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Meera', ‘Amrapali’ among many others. In 2014 Kusum worked with Houston Grand Opera on “River of Light” where she enacted mini-Ramleela and played the role of Sita. Kusum has featured in several community newspaper and Fox 26 Houston TV channel
