México 2000 Ballet Folklórico and México 2000 Folklórico Dance School have been in existence since 1998 and teaches an average of 120 students each year. M2K focuses in teaching and performing regional traditional Mexican dance. Directors Alex and Mary Palencia have more than 70 years of combined experience as dancers, instructors, choreographers and directors. They teach dance workshops all over the U.S. and have vast knowledge of Mexican traditional dance. They prepare their students to perform in any kind of setting representing the Mexican culture with great respect. México 2000 Ballet Folklórico dance groups perform for all kind of cultural and private events and have presented more than 1,200 performances in the past 22 years.
