I provide both Indian dance classes for both kids and adults. I am a seattle-based Bharatanatyam & Creative dancer, instructor, and choreographer. I started classical Bharatanatyam dance when I was about 4 years old under the guidance Smt. Rita Sinha. I was groomed in the classical dance in Guru Thankamani Kutty's dance tradition. I was trained in Bharatanatyam by gurus like Sushmita Sarkar and Surajit Das. Later, I mastered my creative Uday Sankar Style and Manipuri dance skills in Mamata Sankar Dance group. I think dance allows to express the human spirit truthfully through character and movement. I always like to give an aspect of storytelling and freedom through dance that goes beyond just mere choreography and technique.
