Kanopy Dance Company’s expressionistic and emotionally charged works combine the dramatic physicality of modern dance, and dance/theater. We present new original dances and historical masterworks, featuring creations by our Artistic Directors as well as local, regional, national and international choreographers. Kanopy Dance Company works collaboratively with cutting-edge dance and dance/theater companies throughout the country. Each season Kanopy works with dancers and choreographers who are shaping the modern dance scene. Kanopy Dance is composed of our core company, a pre professional training program, our academy, and Center. We are a resident company of Overture Center for the Arts producing a season of 4-5 distinct shows.
