The purpose of art is to enrich our lives by allowing us to realize and express a connection to the world around us. The study of dance cultivates self-esteem, creativity and discipline which can be applied to any endeavor in life. Moreover, we believe ballet is a foundation and enabler of many other theatrical dance styles. At OKDC we intend to pass on to future generations of dancers the traditions of classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap garnered from decades of education and professional performing experience. We firmly believe that proper training imparts wonderful benefits to all students regardless of their level of development, training intensity, or goals for their involvement.
